Folio 527: Thompson to Newcastle. Spanish army reported to be making raids as far as Chambéry; Belle-Isle has brought 11,000 infantry and 2,500 cavalry out of Prague, and is two days march ahead of the Austrians; he had to leave nearly 6,000 men in Prague, 4,000 ofwhom are sick; report that part of Broglie's army will be recalled and that France will instead give a subsidy to Charles Albert for him to hire mercenaries; speculates that France may attack Luxembourg.
