Description

Folio 467: Extract [?from a newsletter]. Peace of Tunis welcomed as reopening the Levant to French trade; British fleet continues to dominate the Mediterranean, and their [marines] are apparently going to spend the winter on the Iles d'Hyères; Spaniards requisitionFrench vessels for a planned troop transport convoy to Italy, which will be devoid of effective escort.
