Folio 245: Thompson to Couraud. Broglie's retreat to Prague turned into a route; Austrian Hussars were able to harass and plunder, French soldiers also plundered from their own army and the military chest disappeared in the mêlee; report that the King of Prussia returned an Austrian officer to Prince Charles with a message wishing him success and saying that if the Austrians beat the French, then Prussia and Austria could soon be friends; French naval building programme has been suspended at Brest, partly because France sees no prospect of matching British naval power and partly for lack of funds; France will protest at detention of soldiers intercepted at sea by a British patrol.
