Folio 73: Thompson to Couraud. Rumours that Austria is willing to make peace which Thompson thinks unlikely since Austrian troops are enjoying victories; French reinforcements going to Bavaria; Belle-Isle has been created Duke, and will go to Frankfurt and Berlin before resuming command of the French army in Bohemia; Torres reportedly has been ordered to send treasure to Spain in two unescorted ships; French naval officers have been granted leave.
