Hospital beds prepared at Le Havre to receive invalids from d'Antin's expeditionary force, whose return from the West Indies is expected; Haddock's blockade of Cadiz irks Spanish merchants. Thompson applies for a vacant ecclesiastical sinecure. Thompson is trying to discover the titles used by the French King in writing to the Electoral College at Frankfurt.
