His spies at Brest and Toulon have failed to report and may have been caught; reports of French naval movements; reports of French army movements towards Flanders are unconfirmed reports that France is preparing staging camps for Spanish troops in transit to Italy; it is expected that France will vote against the candidature of Francis Stephen to the Imperial throne at the forthcoming Diet at Frankfurt; renewal of treaty between Prussia and Russia; merchants assist Spanish Court in return for permits to trade with South America; d'Antin's squadron believed to have suffered greatly from sickness.
