Description

Folio 171: Newcastle to Waldegrave Instructs him to ask that magistrates of Dunkirk revoke their order that three Protestant Englishmen at Dunkirk cease their business there indicating that otherwise Britain will take similar measures against French Catholics in England.

Date and place: 1739 May 8/19 Whitehall.
