Description

Folio 122: Waldegrave to Newcastle. Fleury disdainful of a tract printed in England called an Apology for M. Chauvelin, but is aware that Chauvelin still has a number of friends and agents. Fleury reassures Waldegrave that he is on the best of terms with Louis XV and that Bachelier has no influence; Louis XV's mistresses, Mme. de Mailly and the wife of Duc de Rochouart are not hostile to Fleury.
