Folio 74: Waldegrave to Newcastle. Fleury insists that Dom Luis da Cunha is coming to France for health reasons alone; Fleury did not agree to a defensive alliance with Turkey because the latter is a moslem country but hopes the Turks succeed in beating the Russians. De Maurepas wants to make a joint Anglo-French protest against the seizure of their vessels by Spanish privateers in the Damietta roads.
