Description

Folio 270: Project for preliminary peace agreement; Stanislas to retain title of King of Poland but to renounce throne; amnesty for his Polish supporters; free elections in the future; Don Carlos to succeed to Naples and Sicily; districts of Tortona, Novara and Vigevano to be ceded to the King of Sardinia. Parma and Tuscany to go to the Emperor but not Castro. France to recognise Pragmatic Sanction; Lorraine not to become part of the Empire; France to restore territorial gains; frontiers of Alsace and French Flanders to be fixed; Berg and Jülich; France to propose an armistice to her allies, Britain and Holland to cooperate in efforts to persuade belligerents to accept peace.
