Austrians routed in the Kingdom of Naples; Fleury considers Spain and Savoy likely to be intractable in peace talks; Austrians fail to retake Colorno; Waldegrave fears that if France and Spain refuse peace offers Britain and Holland may be forced to join in on the Emperor's side; de Villars blamed Savoy and the French government for military vulnerability of Parma, in an intercepted letter to Elisabeth Farnese.
