Folio 29: [Newcastle] to Waldegrave. A protest is to be made to Castelar against the declaration by which Spain asserts she will be free of obligations inherent in the Treaty of Seville, unless its other provisions are enforced; British efforts to obtain this enforcement, or acceptance, through negotiations at Vienna; Spain risks losing British support for Don Carlos' succession at the time when the Duke of Parma has just died.
