Folio 174: W. Stanhope, H. Walpole and Poyntz to Townshend. According to Kinsky the Emperor would make war rather than allow Spanish garrisons to be introduced into Parma and Tuscany. The Emperor will make substantial concessions if Britain recognizes the PragmaticSanction, and would not then allow his daughter to marry any prince unacceptable to Britain; disbelief that Austria will in fact risk war.
