Folio 333: W. Stanhope, H. Walpole and Poyntz to Townshend. Have used their full powers to offer Spain Allied assent to Spanish garrisons in Parma and Tuscany. Austria need not be consulted as Austrian envoys have shown they were never interested in promoting an agreement; suggest that British fleet movement be delayed to avoid alarming Spain; Emperor's attempt to give Marchese di Pallavicini the possession of fiefs within Parmesan territory.
