Folio 270: Pulteney to Craggs. Popularity of Prince de Conti who evaded banishment; Paris Parlement is in favour of declaring Louis XV's majority; is under surveillance of a German regiment. Law remains within the Palais Royal; the presumption of his family furtherincites the people; Regent has seized Parlement's secret records; Parlement's members at Pontoise regard themselves as private individuals in exile due to unprecedented method of removal from Paris by lettre de cachet; Court distrusts loyalty of French troops.
