Several people trampled to death in crush to get into the Bank's offices; Law's house and coach attacked by angry crowd; order that the Bank be closed and forbidding assembly in the streets; troops being brought in. Parlement's opposition; news of new share issue depresses value of existing ones; rentes under-subscribed; exchange rate between France and Britain.
