Folio 292: Prior to Bolingbroke. Informed French King through de Torcy about d'Aumont's memorial. Received copy of French orders for surrender sent to Governor of Placentia, but French troops cannot be transported to Cape Breton until the following spring. French King requests that they may remain there over winter. Awaits Queen's orders. De Torcy rejects d'Aumont's suggestion that French should fish one more year in all harbours of island. French King never suggested it. Anything at Dunkirk belonging to French will be consigned to their officers for removal.
