Folio 227: Shrewsbury to Dartmouth. De Torcy expects French marines will be employed in demolition of Dunkirk. English merchants in France complain of having to pay 70 sols per ton when an English ship arrives in a French port. Thought Treaty of Commerce would remove tax. Asks if England has removed tax on French merchants. Encloses petition from certain hostages on the capitulation of Nevis.
