Folio 202: Memorial from Pigoult, Dezeigson, Grosy and Bedde. La Trompeuse of Calais with owner Francis de Lettre was driven by storm to Margate where it was seized by Captain Cornelius Swish who maltreated master and men. Master had no intention of unloading cargoof brandy bound for St. Malo, although one sailor did secretly sell five small barrels of brandy. Claim no grounds for arrest and ask for release for boat and master.
