Folio 189: Shrewsbury to Dartmouth. Has seen de Torcy about galley slaves; Louis XIV's promise concerns those held because of their religion not those condemned in connection with revolt in Cevennes. In conformity with Queen's Letters of Revocation, Shrewsbury willmake and receive visits of ceremony and has asked to take leave of King in private manner. De Torcy complains that Emperor acts contrary to neutrality in Italy by demanding money of Genoese. Awaits news of English Parliament's decision about commerce with France.
