Folio 166: Shrewsbury to Dartmouth. The Elector of Bavaria regards Queen Anne as Arbiter of his Act of cession and if any in London find defects remaining in Act, he will rectify it. Presumes question of liberty of galley slaves has been considered in England. Encloses authentic copy of cession of Acadie and St. Christopher with two letters to governors of Canada and French Islands about relinquishing Newfoundland, Acadie, Hudsons Bay and St. Christopher [St. Kitts]. Duke of Savoy's plenipotentiaries at Utrecht fear Genoese have an understanding with Emperor to obtain the port of Final [Finale Ligure]. Des Maretz and de Torcy deny reports of a treaty between France and Portugal.
