Folio 155: Pontchartrain to Bolingbroke. William [Clarke] captain of brig with crew of fourteen men from different nations and large cargo of arms, ran aground at Gruissan near Narbonne. Arrested and had no papers authorizing cargo; considered as a pirate but has been treated well. Asks for information concerning him, and ransom for ship.
