Folio 105: Pontchartrain to Dartmouth. Complaint about a privateer from Guernsey who captured a French vessel, Le St. Pierre, from the owner Hardouin, and took Martin Bernard hostage. Hardouin has offered the ransom but is unable to pay the additional sum now demanded for Bernard's board and lodging. Asks for clemency and justice.
Date and place: 1712 Aug 13, Fontainebleau.
