Folio 53: Pontchartrain to Dartmouth. 33 English officers taken at St. Malo sent home. Families of French prisoners protest against their undue detention. De la Bouchetiere has written to the Emperor for permission to go to Portugal on private business. Since the Middletons have not been returned, Pontchartrain requests that he and others be returned to France, since the Middletons have not been released according to the parole agreement.
