Folio 138: Pontchartrain to Dartmouth. Proposal to exchange Middletons for Protestants in the galleys refused but suggests de la Bouchetière and du Lignon instead. The latter will only be released when the Middletons are released. Thanks Dartmouth for the return ofdu Chail's daughter. The debts of the French officers imprisoned at Canterbury will be reckoned and paid. Complains privateers of Guernsey and Jersey are still violating fishing pact. Requests speedy termination of the Phoenix of Honfleur case, and the release of Dominique Wake. Complains of bad treatment of Disque, privateer of Boulogne in a London prison. Requires his release, and that of hostages from fishing boats detained at Dover.
