Folio 100: Pontchartrain to Dartmouth. John Cuningham, merchant of Liverpool should pay ransom for release of the hostage taken off the Good Adventure. Still requires justice for the St. Jean Baptiste of Bayonne and the Phoenix of Honfleur. Claims that the Swift's arrest of French fishing boat was unjustified. French fishermen are now forbidden to carry money on board, since some English privateers confiscated fishermen's money, and claimed this represented merchandise. Complains that French officers in England do not receive pay due to them and have to buy food out of their own resources; they also have to pay bribes to be allowed out of gaol on parole.
