Description

Folio 55: Pontchartrain to Orkney. Several letters written by Orkney were found on a boat captured by the French. The Admiralty sent them to Pontchartrain who returned them to Orkney since they merely concern his private affairs.

Date and place: 1710 Sept 17, Versailles.
