Folio 49: Pontchartrain to Dartmouth. Daniel Linkstan, who claimed to be a British subject, is in fact French and therefore cannot be exchanged. John Valevoir in command of British ship, the Havre, captured and ransomed ship of Olonne. Afterwards, Captain of galley, Onstrue of St. George's channel, ignoring the previous ransom pillaged the ship and burned the hands of two seamen. Demands compensation and expresses disgust at such brutality. A vessel from Jersey, pretending to be a fishing boat was carrying passengers and goods to Britain. This practice must be stopped.
