Description

Folio 86: De Bacquoy to [Williamson]. Dutch believe forcefulness of d'Estrades memorial in favour of the Order of Malta [see f.84] might be explained by the fact that two of his sons are Chevaliers in that Order. Muscovy will soon send an ambassador to the United Provinces. Dutch intelligence indicates a secret agreement between France and England to assist Portugal against Spain. States of Holland agree to guarantee Dunkirk. Boreel's representations about Orange. French treaty list seems unacceptable to the States General. Concord between Charles II and Parliament.
