Folio 61: De Bacquoy to [Williamson]. Progress of Franco-Dutch and Anglo-Dutch negotiations. If the Anglo-Dutch negotiations made no further progress the Dutch ambassadors will be recalled, but replaced by one ambassador who will negotiate for an Anglo-Dutch navalalliance against the Corsairs. Differing attitudes of Provinces to Dutch-Portuguese treaty which seems about to be concluded. Arrest at Delft and return of three [?rebel] Englishmen to England, may, the Dutch hope, incline Charles II to conclude the treaty with them; De Witt hopes that France [will recognise Dutch fishing interests in the proposed guarantee of Dunkirk].
