The NBC inherited a number of bus manufacturing plants (Bristol Commercial Vehicles, Eastern Coachworks and an interest in Park Royal Vehicles Ltd) and subsequently entered into agreements with the Leyland Motor Corporation to construct a new bus plant at Workington to build the Leyland National vehicle. This series contains NBC Finance Department papers relating to these interests and trace NBC involvement until the sale of their shares in all these undertakings in 1982.
