The Chief Executives of the National Bus Company were: Mr T W H Gailey CBE 1968-1971, Mr S J B Skyrme CBE 1972-1978, Mr R Brook CBE 1978-1984 (also Deputy Chairman). The position of Chief Executive was discontinued in 1985 when Mr Irwin Dalton CBE was appointed to the position of Vice Chairman. He was additionally titled Chief Executive Operations from 1986 to 1988.
