Admirals' journals are in ADM 50. Records survive from the following stations and fleets: Africa (including Cape of Good Hope and West Coast of Africa Stations) in ADM 123 and ADM 124; Atlantic Fleet (before 14 December 1904 known as the Channel Fleet) in ADM 145 and ADM 146; Australia in ADM 122; Channel Squadron and Fleet (from 14 December 1904 the Channel Fleet became the Atlantic Fleet and the Home Fleet the Channel Fleet) in ADM 144 and ADM 146; China in ADM 125 and ADM 126; East Indies in ADM 127; Ireland in ADM 148 - ADM 150; Mediterranean in ADM 121; Nore in ADM 151 - ADM 153; North America and West Indies in ADM 128 and ADM 129; Pacific in ADM 155 and ADM 172; Plymouth in ADM 130, ADM 131 and ADM 143; Portsmouth in ADM 179; South East America in ADM 147; Western Approaches in ADM 217

Papers of the British naval commander-in-chief, Germany, who, prior to the German surrender in 1945 had been Allied naval commander-in-chief Expeditionary Force, are in ADM 228. Papers of the Operational Commander of Operation MOSAIC, in Western Australia, are in ADM 296

Papers of the Commodore of the Arabian Seas and Persian Gulf are in ADM 323
