This series loosely follows the original numerical sequence of the creating body. The files in the series are registered both alphabetically (confined to the 1-IG Series) and numerically. They include some which were taken over from the Industrial Division and which were originally opened between 1965 and 1968.

The prefixes 1-IG and 2-IG seem to have been used indiscriminately and so it is no longer possible to say what subjects were dealt with under each prefix.
