Specifically there are files concerned with the Department of Economic Affairs' interest in the construction industry (including building controls, housing and environmental service), public expenditure generally and special concerns such as the future of Concorde, measures for restraining public expenditure, the housing programme, the Channel Tunnel, and the third London airport (Stansted) enquiry. A series of drafts of the National Plan are included amongst the records.
