Letters patent under Exchequer Seal to John de Uppyngham, one of the auditors of accounts of the Exchequer. He is to go in person to Hants and inquire if the Abbot of St Mary's, Winchester or his predecessors in the bailiwick of Hants which William de Ernham formerly held in fee or otherwise entered into any lands lands or tenements which were ever of the said William belonging to the bailiwick, and return the inquisition to the Exchequer at Westminster. Witnessed by T de Lodelowe. Dated at Westminster. By Memoranda roll 47 Edw III, Easter Recorda rot 4.
