Description

Letters patent under Exchequer Seal to William de Ormesby, Nicholas de Trous and Joan de Caston holding part of the lands and tenements which were of William de Roching and Ralph de Roching in Panxworth and South Burlingham in Norf placed before the Barons of the Exchequer to show how they should pay the King his debts, by summons of the Exchequer, to say precisely that they have no lands or tenements for which they should be charged with the debts, as stated more fully in the record under the Exchequer Seal the King sends them. Ormesby is appointed to enquire the truth of the premises, and likewise to extend the two parts of the manor of South Walsham, which Margery Foliot holds, and which was of the same Ralph as Margery acknowledges namely what and how much value yearly in all issues according to the true value, saving the services of two fees. Return to be before the Barons at Westminster on the eve of Michaelmas. Witnessed by W[alter] of Norwich. Dated at Westminster.
