The Committee on Technician Courses and Examinations was a committee of the National Advisory Council on Education for Industry and Commerce. It was established by the Secretary of State, Department of Education and Science, in May 1967 and chaired by Dr H L Haslegrave.
Its terms of reference were:"To review the provision for courses suitable for technicians at all levels (including corresponding grades in non-technical occupations) and to consider what changes are desirable in the present structure of courses and examinations".
The first meeting was held on 28 September 1967 and the last on 18 April 1969. The committee's report to the Secretary of State for Education and Science was published in December 1969 (Cmnd 1254).
