Description

Education Department and successors precedent and noting books giving briefly official decisions on problems arising from the application of Education Acts and Codes.

The notations, although brief, indicate the official decisions given on the individual problems which arose from the application of certain Education acts and codes i.e. the Education Act, 1870 - as amended; the Voluntary Schools Act, 1897; the Education Act, 1902; the Education (London) Act, 1903; the Education (Administrative Provisions) Act, 1907 and 1911; the Education Act, 1921; the Education Codes 1900 to 1919 and 1926.

Some of the volumes relate to miscellaneous matters.

Related material

The original papers, if preserved, might be contained in one of the series relating to individual schools or local education authority general files although as the system of registration has changed over the years, the references shown against the cases will prove of little use in tracing the actual papers.
