Pack 11 Numbered draft despatches 61-80 from J.R. to Clarendon. Progress of mission; `diminishing hopes of peace' (Apr. 12). The third point, Russia and the Black Sea. Franco-British plan for closure of the Dardanelles. Question of Prussian attitude in event of Russian refusal of limitation: no menace to be used. Russia refuses: agreement with French to break off conference. Question of Austrian counterpoise proposals. French account of attack on Sebastopol.
