Folio 302: Marquis of Pombal to L. Pinto de Sousa. It is clear that the Court of Madrid is bent on attacking Portugal, and therefore Great Britain must come to Portugal's help; both because she is bound to by treaty, as out of gratitude for Portugal's sacrificing herself in 1762.
