Folio 372: Sir John Hort to Earl of Hillsborough. Spaniards making difficulties about exchange of prisoners, but they have released all the passengers taken in the convoy from Portsmouth. Sends vouchers and accounts regarding prisoners' maintenance, and bounty for volunteer seamen enlisting locally. 34 East India prisoners have enlisted in the Irish Brigade of Spain, through `wheedling and menaces'. Others have escaped to Portugal, but been imprisoned in the Minho, and then returned to Spanish custody. Emperor of Morocco has issued a decree `forbidding the departure of any armed ship within 24 hours after the sailing of any enemy'.
