Folio 360: R. Walpole to Earl of Hillsborough. Encloses copies (ff.364-66) of further correspondence from Ayres de Sá over the castle of São Julião firing on HMS Kite and HMS Rattlesnake. Latest naval intelligence from Madeira (f.362, duplicating that at f.325). Latest naval intelligence from Cadiz, where it is reported that d'Estaing is to command the Combined Fleet. Reiterates his argument that the 1654 Treaty covers privateers as well as warships.
