Folio 169: R. Walpole to Earl of Hillsborough. Latest news of French and Spanish fleets. King Dom Pedro has had a paralytic stroke, but is reportedly responding to treatment. Russian warships expected at Lisbon. Portuguese Court has declined the Russian proposal toaccede to the Armed Neutrality `having no reason to complain of the conduct of the `Belligerent Powers'. Arrival of a new French Ambassador, Mons. O'Dunne.
