Folio 93: R. Walpole to Earl of Hillsborough. Courier recently arrived from St. Petersburg is supposed to bring the Russian proposal for an armed neutrality which has already `been made to Denmark, Sweden, and Holland for the protection of neutral ships'. Doubts if Portugal will join it.
Date and place: 1780 May 6 Lisbon.
