Folio 339: Viscount Weymouth to R. Walpole. Approves of his protest over the anti-British behaviour of the Portuguese Vice-Consul at Tangier. Hopes the Portuguese Court will be satisfied with Admiral Duff's account of the capture of the Bienfaisant. King regrets Lieut. Lowe's misconduct, but the case having been settled, Lowe has been restored to the service because of the Queen's `gracious interference' on his behalf. Agrees with his explanations to Ayres de Sá over the conduct of Captain Grey.
