Folio 308: `Narrative of a whaling voyage undertaken in the British brigantine Leviathan, Thos. Lothrop, deceased, late master and of the transactions of the same at the Town of Rio de Janeiro in South America'. Certified true copy by Wm. Southern, Vice-Consul at Lisbon 17 Sept. 1779. With seal. Voluminous documentation of a voyage which began on 30 April 1773 from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.
Date and place: 1779 Sept 17 Lisbon.
