Folio 228: L. Pinto de Sousa to Viscount Weymouth. Demanding the release of Ensign Manuel Alexander Barros, an officer in the garrison of Angola, who by a singular series of misfortunes, when proceeding to Portugal on leave was captured on board of a French ship and is now in prison at Bristol. The Queen renews her demand for the French pilot of the Boa Viagem at Liverpool, regarding his continued detention as an unfriendly act and an insult to the Portuguese flag.
