Folio 187: R. Walpole to Viscount Weymouth. Bankruptcy of Lempriere, deputy-consul at Faro, now in great distress with a wife and 13 children. Lempriere sollicits H.M.'s royal favour and bounty, which Walpole supports on grounds of his past services and present usefulness in `the present situation of things at Gibraltar'.
Date and place: 1779 July 17 Lisbon.
