Folio 129: R. Walpole to Viscount Weymouth. Encloses copies of correspondence with Pombal (ff.133-40) relative to the negotiations between Spain and Portugal; describes his interviews with Pombal and with the French ambassador on the same subject. He thinks that Pombal is prepared to give the Court of Madrid as full and complete satisfaction as can be wished; `especially as he had adopted the much desired expedient of the measure being taken in concert with Lord Grantham and Monsieur D'Ossun' at Madrid. Bolts's ship has put into Cadiz.
